About Musikarama

Musikarama (Karama, dignity in Arabic) is a project which aims at building bridges between cultures using music as the driving factor, and working towards the resilience and integration of refugees and migrants. Our role is to facilitate the right conditions in which music becomes the tool for children and adults to release and express themselves, while showing their talent and skills through joy and play, avoiding feelings of exclusion or disconnection from society.

Despite all restrictions -and of course taking care of everyone's health-, there's always room for creativity and music. During 2020 we haven't been able to carry on with most of our activities (specially in our music school and our recording studio), so we had to find other ways to make music.

Sending an sms with Option Nº6 allows us to go for exercise, so why not adding music to it... 😉 This is our cover of 'Ça plane pour moi' by Plastic Bertrand, recorded in Athens during the current lockdown.
Bravo to the artists! Baba Kosta Auriane Blanc Sifis Doo Kareem Kabbani Gilad Atzmon Music.
Massive thanks to Puzzleglass for this lovely idea&video (more of their work here: vimeo.com/puzzleglass )

Let's be safe, but never give up on being creative and making&supporting art!! 🙂 🙂

Ps. No major injuries occurred during the shooting of this video...

Due to the current lockdown and new restrictions imposed by the Greek government, we will be closed until the first week of December.

In the meantime, we are still developing ideas and working remotely.

Stay safe, more music coming very soon 😉
